About Us

For those of you who know us and have heard our story repeatedly, you can skip this :) Those of you who are checking out the blog for the first time, here it is:

The Quick Version:

Chase and I met at Florida Hospital in 2011. He was a patient transporter and I did ultrasound. We flirted, he was charming and best of all made me laugh..A LOT. We went on a date to the movies and the rest is history. We decided to move in together about a year later, which brings us to 2012. Later that year, September to be exact, Chase proposed, I said YES YES YES and we started dipping our toes into the wedding planning process. Then comes deployment :( Chase found out he would be deploying to Afghanistan (he was a combat medic in the National Guard) May 2013, so this changed our wedding plans a bit....We decided that it made sense to just go ahead and do it before he left, for many reasons. We went to St. Augustine, just the two of us and a very quirky notary by the name of Betty married us in front of the lighthouse. It was romantic and I think because of the impending deployment that much more meaningful for us. Fast forward to December 2013, Chase was still gone, but coming home soon in February 2014. We bought a house while he was still there, which was stressful and exciting and well stressful :) I moved in with the help of our family and closest friends and waited for him to come home. February 2014, best. month. ever. Chase came home, loved the house (which he now could see in person for the first time). Re-wedding! Chase and I decided that it was really important to be able to share a wedding day with our families and friends so we began planning....again :) Our re-wedding was February 2015 (February is turning out to be a very good month for us) We had a small re-wedding with 50 of our closest friends and family at the Rusty Pelican and it was a blast. We had our priorities straight, people we loved, free alcohol and delicious food. March 2015, we had no idea that the next chapter had already begun, approximately 9 months later we had our spunky little girl, Norah on 12/12/15. I think we can agree it was one of the best days of our lives, if not the best. Since she was born life has started moving at the speed of light. It's currently June 2018, Norah is two and a half and we are preparing to delve into the next chapter, which we have titled Nolan. Our little man is due September and we are all so excited to meet him. This blog is our story and our adventures, if you've found yourself here I hope you enjoy sharing in these things with us. <3
